Selling Artwork
Overview

Any of our members are given the option to sell their artwork through ArtWanted.com. There are two ways to sell art on our site. 1) The artist can sell his/her own artwork and do the fulfillment or 2) Premium members can sign up for our Print Program that allows buyers to purchase a large variety of prints & products from the artwork they like. This page refers to the artwork sold directly by the artist. This is done by adding the description & price of the artwork for sale at the time of uploading the image, or later when the image is edited. Selling of artwork is restricted to those members with full contact information and that are at least 18 years of age.

The artist can elect to sale prints, reproductions, digital files or the original work. It's the artist's responsiblity to clearly describe what is being sold and any dimentions/specifications.

ArtWanted.com does not store any inventory of the artwork sold through our website. Once a purchase is made, the artist will be contacted to ship out the artwork within a few days. The artist is responsible for proper storage, packaging and shipping of the artwork. We remind our artists to remove their inventory from our website if it has sold as soon as possible. In the event the artist is unable to ship out the artwork for any reason after a sale, a refund will be issued for the purchase price.

The artist is responsible to set a price for his/her own artwork. This price can be changed at anytime, but if the artwork is sold at a certain price, it must be honored by the artist. Price should include shipping/handling cost within the United States. International shipping inquiries will be directed to the artist, before the sale is completed.

If an image is sold through our website using our shopping cart, there is a fee charged to the artist to handle this transaction. This fee is 15% of the total price of the artwork sold. The artist is paid for the sale of the artwork (original price less 15%) within 30 days of the original purchase. This is done in the form of a mailed check or PayPal transaction. No fees will be charged if the artist is paid directly for the sale or the sale happens outside of our website.

Those artist wanting to sell artwork through our website, must agree to our artist contract. This contract also outlines additional policies about selling artwork on our website. Additonal information about selling your artwork can be found on the following page.
